Dr. Attawar is the Program Director and Chair of Heart/Lung Transplantation & Assist Devices at KIMS Hospitals, Hyderabad.

He holds directorships at various institutes such as Sir HN Reliance in Mumbai, the Rela Institute in Chennai, and DM Aster Hospitals in Bangalore.

Dr. Attawar has pioneered heart and lung transplantation and the use of heart assist devices in India.
